Court battle for compensation and apology from the Polish Post Office
Attorney Tomasz Przybecki is persisting in his court battle for compensation and an apology from the Polish Postal Service (Poczta Polska S.A.) in connection with the company’s unlawful processing of his personal data in connection with the envelope election (more details here).
The District Court in Poznań, after a 2-year trial, dismissed the claim, so it became necessary to appeal to the Poznań Court of Appeals. A strong ally appeared in our court battle – already after the announcement of the first instance judgment, the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection on March 17, 2025 issued decision No. DKN.5131.1.2025 finding
violations of RODO regulations by the Minister of Digitization and Poczta Polska S.A. in connection with the organization of the so-called envelope elections. The President of UODO additionally imposed a fine of PLN 27.1 million on the Post Office.
