Monika Ratajczak

Drawing from her extensive experience in contract law and intellectual property, including film and entertainment law, personal data, and GDPR compliance, Monika has been a trusted legal advisor for a diverse range of projects. Her rich experience encompasses feature films, documentaries, commercials, and TV series, and she has provided expertise both as a financial and production lawyer. Monika's career has seen her guide projects funded through traditional Polish and European co-production models, as well as engage in collaborative ventures with international studios. She has actively participated in numerous international financial and legal closings and has a strong background in international film distribution, including negotiation of agreements with prestigious distributors such as Focus Features, A24, and Sony Pictures Classics. Monika's experience is evident in her ability to adeptly tailor European projects to meet the requirements of the American market while ensuring strict compliance with local funding regulations, including those set forth by the Polish Film Institute (PISF). She has managed clearance processes for E&O insurance and the delivery of projects to foreign entities. She excels in international negotiations, is unafraid to navigate foreign legal regulations, and possesses in-depth knowledge of the legal and business requirements of foreign entities.
