Local government cultural institutions – dismissal of Ewa Wójciak
The law firm filed a lawsuit to the labor court on behalf of Ewa Wójciak – director of the Eighth Day Theater in Poznań dismissed from her post by the Mayor of Poznań.
According to the firm’s lawyers, the cancellation was made in violation of the law, which justifies the client’s claims made in the lawsuit. The court’s decision will make it possible to clarify a number of contentious issues, in particular whether the organizer of a local government cultural institution, in addition to its powers under the Act
on the conduct of cultural activities is also authorized to perform labor law activities. The complicated nature of the case is due to the fact that there is an intermingling of the institutions of administrative law and labor law.
