Housing policy – compensation for failure to provide social housing

The Poznan edition of Gazeta Wyborcza published an interesting article on the City of Poznan’s policy on the provision of social housing.

It is controversial that even in the most obvious cases, the Board of Communal Housing Resources does not want to negotiate the amount of compensation due to the owners of tenements and

forces them to referring the case to court. At the very least, it is debatable whether such a policy exposes the City’s budget to additional, often unnecessary, costs.
