Compensation for an accident during the Passion Play

The firm undertook the representation of a photojournalist who suffered multiple injuries during rehearsals for the 2010 Passion Play, held at Poznan’s Citadel

Today a preliminary letter was sent to the organizers outlining our client’s claims. So far, efforts have failed to reconcile the positions of the aggrieved party and the church party. An interesting issue arose in the compensation case. According to information obtained by the law firm, the Mysterium has not been reported to the City Hall as a

mass event within the meaning of the Law on Security of Mass Events of March 20, 2009. It remains an open question whether the provisions of the concordat exclude the provisions of the above law and exempt organizers from the obligation to obtain a permit to organize a mass event.
