Cannes Film Festival – film productions handled by us
The firm handled legal services for film productions that will appear at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival.
The first is “Silent Twins,” directed by Agnieszka Smoczynska, which tells the story of Welsh twins who communicate with each other telepathically. The film will compete in the Un Certain Regard competition section, which aims to identify a screen adaptation that stands out for its unobvious world view and original style.
The second film is “EO,” directed by Jerzy Skolimowski, which tells the story of a donkey traveling from a Polish circus to an Italian slaughterhouse. The picture is a reference to Robert Bresson’s cinema classic “On the Fate of Happiness, Balthazar!” The film was among 18 candidates vying for the Palme d’Or, the highest award given to the best film at the festival.
